Sonic Spa with Jilly and Stu

9 June @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

£15

Experience deep relaxation and sonic nourishment within the ornate grace of Chantry Chapel.

We are Jilly Riley and Stu Fletcher, musicians, passionate about providing peace and sanctuary with our intuitively created soundscape. We invite you to drift away with live heavenly ethereal female vocals and crystal bowls, beautifully complimented with ambient live bass tones and melodies, performed alongside our own delicately created soundtrack. We bring this to you via the personal comfort of a radio head set, a private audio cocoon for a fully immersive experience.

Following our headset experience, we’ll gently transition in to ‘the room’ with a selection of soft percussive instruments, and then, bringing you into deeper relaxation with a gong bath. We use a light and airy wind gong and a beautiful deep toned hand made Nepalese chao gong. There’s no need to remove your headset for this, they aren’t noise cancelling but some people prefer to do so as the gong bath is not radio transmitted.

To conclude our Sonic Spa, following a little reflective writing/poetry, we’ll provide fruit and herbal tea with cake. This will be free of charge with a vegan option available.

For your comfort we ask that you bring something soft to lay on as the chapel floor is stone. We suggest a yoga mat, pillow and a blanket. Water will be provided at the start of the event but please feel free to bring your own drink. If you prefer to sit this is fine, please bring something comfortable to sit on. Wooden chairs are available but feel free to bring your own chair.

We will close the doors at the start of the event to protect the peace of those relaxing with us. Please arrive before the event starts as we really don’t want anyone to be locked outside the building.

There is a toilet at the chapel and on street parking close by.

This event is not suitable for people with a pacemaker due to electro magnetic radio waves.

Although the headsets are fully adjustable for comfort and volume, the sound produced by the gongs may be too loud for those with audio sensitivity. The deep frequencies of the gong are very powerful, providing many health benefits but may affect some people negatively. Anxiety can be triggered and trauma stored in the body can be activated for those with mental sensitivities. Deep vibrations and resting on the stone floor may be unsuitable for those who are pregnant. We ask that you consider these important notes before booking and take precautions if necessary.

We look forward to meeting you and assisting in a peaceful and relaxing journey!
