Taking place on Sunday, July 19, the event aims to bring supporters of all ages together for a day of entertainment, while also supporting two important causes close to the club.

True Blue, which was launched in January to help support the revival of Featherstone Rovers, said it has already raised more than £40,000 towards its goal of helping the club return to full strength by 2027.

The upcoming Family Fun Day will feature a six-a-side football competition, children’s rides, bouncy castles, inflatable football games, food and drink stalls, live singers, entertainment and community stalls.

Organisers say 50 per cent of all funds raised will be donated to the family of former Featherstone Rovers player Luke Cooper, who made over 150 appearances for the club after progressing through its academy before going on to play for Doncaster RLFC and Batley Bulldogs.

The remaining proceeds will go towards the ongoing True Blue fundraising campaign.

Rovers were barred from competing in the Championship this season after entering administration in December amid mounting debts.

Parties interested in buying Featherstone have until September to put a bid together, to ensure the club can compete next season.

Meanwhile, a group of young dancers from Featherstone have launched a £25,000 fundraising appeal after securing the chance to perform at a major international event in Miami.

Members of the Featherstone Rovers Foundation All Star Dance Academy have been invited to take part in Dance Miami ’26, an international performance project.
