Wakefield fish and chip shop celebrates after being named best chippy in Yorkshire and Humber
The accolade for The Codfather came as the winners of the 2026 English Fish and Chip Awards were crowned.
The victors were named at a big event held in Manchester.
Owner, Ilham Shamchiyev, said he and the whole team are ‘absolutely delighted and incredibly proud’ to have won.
“This award means a huge amount to us,” he said.
