Staying Safe On The School Run

Staying Safe On The School Run

The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) are reminding parents and carers of the importance of ensuring you and your children stay safe on the school run. At school drop-off and pick up times, roads can be especially busy. Not only does this make crossing more difficult it can also be really distracting and children may not remember their road safety rules, especially if they’re excited or spot a friend across the road. Fortunately there are plenty of things you can do to help keep them safe. Click here to visit the CAPT website and download really useful fact sheets on the following:

  • Safe arounds roads
  • Pedestrian safety
  • Cycle safely
  • In-car safety

CAPT also have an number of activity sheets for children which you can download and share, designed to help them learn about road safety.
